Anna Petrick Allenbach was born in 1890 in Austin, Minnesota. She studied art at the Hinsdale Illinois Art Center and at the Kansas City Art Institute. Allenbach lived in Kansas City in the 1930s, and was a member of the Kansas City Society of Artists. She exhibited her work in exhibitions presented by the society, and was its last elected president in 1936. In 1935, she was a part of the steering committee for the fourth annual Plaza Art Fair.
Allenbach left Kansas City and moved to Cleveland, Ohio in 1937 where she continued to exhibit her work.
Allenbach died on January 8, 1971 in Norwich, Connecticut.
