Earl Braddoc McKinney was born in 1903 in Shenandoah, Iowa. It is unclear when he started living in Bolivar, Missouri, but he was an active painter and teacher.  He studied under John Laurie-Wallace, and was a member of the Omaha Art Guild and Bolivar Art Guild.  When he was fifteen and sixteen he exhibited his artwork at the Sioux City Inter-State Fair in 1918 and 1919 and won prizes for his artwork. His work can be seen at the public library in Bolivar, Missouri.
