Lillian E. Martin was born on March 1, 1881, and was a landscape plein-air painter who made her works outdoors. She was active in Springfield, Missouri during the 1920s, and was a member of the Ozarks Artists Guild. Martin took classes at Springfield Art Museum from guest instructors, and exhibited her work in Springfield and in other venues in the Midwest. She also taught drawing, watercolor, and oil painting at M’Curdy’s Art Store in the early 1930s, and she sold hand painted greeting cards there as well.
Lillian E. Martin died on June 6, 1971 in Springfield, Missouri.
