Henry Bollman Jr. was born February 17, 1909, in Fort Meade, South Dakota. He was a student at the Kansas City Art Institute in the 1930s, where he studied lithography. He received his diploma in the 1940s. He is known for his paintings and graphic art, and participated in several exhibitions, including the Five States Exhibition in 1936, the Sweepstake Show in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1937, the Midwestern Artists' Exhibition in 1938, and the 15th Annual Kansas Artists Exhibition in 1939.
Henry Bollman Jr. was married to Francis M. Cocker. In addition to being an artist, he served in the U.S. Army Corps as a sergeant in World War II. Henry Bollman died on January 25, 1990, at the age of eighty, and is buried at Humboldt Cemetery in Junction City, Kansas.
