Annie R. Arnot was born on April 2, 1879, in St. Cuthbert, Scotland. Her family immigrated from Scotland in May 1881, and by 1900 they were living in the Kansas City area. For a time, she was employed as a crayon artist.
Annie was known as a portrait artist, and according to an entry on Findagrave.com, she was known for making portraits of Christ. She painted an image of the Rock Creek School as it appeared in 1916, and this painting was hung in the auditorium of the North Rock Creek School in 1956.
Her sister, Margaret Baldwin, also was a painter who was known for making copies of religious paintings.
Annie Arnot died on November 17, 1964.
